#5 On The Top 10 Food Trends of 2009

Now you may be asking yourself what do food trends have to do with individual liberties and small government? Well, to answer that question I will now unveil the #5 food trend as chosen by The Food Channel... too much focus on nutritional information by both consumers and the government. Consumers have a right to count calories all day long but part of the #5 trend is that more "obesity-related legislation" is seen on the horizon. This is one of the worst kinds of legislation, where the government tells you what you can and cannot eat, and its based solely on preventing obesity! Some people are heavy because of their body structure, their genes, and because they have bad eating habits. But the government should stay out of our palates. If I want to sit on the couch all day and eat doughnuts, french fries, and deep-fried snicker bars (they do exist in Wildwood) then that is my right.

Let me know what you think.
