NJ Libertarian Party Getting a Facelift

The NJLP has been discussing plans for the future aiming at becoming a powerful presence in NJ. One of the pieces of this plan is to upgrade the website to one that can compete with those of the state Democrats and Republicans. Another is to send out a mailing to all the members of the national party that live in the state with both a letter from the NJLP as well as one from their local contact such as a county committee chairman like myself. The letter will also include a membership and donation form.

Armed with a list of over 9000 names and addresses this will offer an opportunity to expand membership. The party is also looking at registered independents, which make up a majority of NJ's registered voters, as a place to look for disenchanted Americans who have found themselves caught between two parties that have landed us in the mess we are in now. NJ is infamous for reelecting politicians who have shown themselves to be corrupt and incompetent because we feel that we have no other choice and it is our job to show them that they do have another choice.

We are open to suggestions and comments and would love to hear from our readers.

NJ Libertarian Party Makes Progress On Outreach

The NJ Libertarian Party has gotten its hands on the membership roll of members of the national party that live in NJ. The Libertarian Party sent the NJLP a list of over 9000 names of Libertarians who are not members of the state party. The NJLP steering committee is currently drafting up a form letter to go out to these wayward Libertarians to inform them of the great opportunities to get involved in local activism with the state party.

More on what the state party is planning will come soon.

State Libertarian Convention

For all those Libertarians who have not been awake for the last week here is your final notice that the Joint NJ, PA, WV Libertarian convention is taking place this weekend. I will be attending of course and will update my blog as often as possible on what is going on at the convention. I will also bring my camera and try to get some good video and photos to post on the blog so that everyone who couldn't attend will be able to still benefit from the event.

PA, WV, And NJ Libertarian Parties Holding Joint Convention This Weekend

For further information on this event please check out this link www.lppa.org/convention. There will be great speakers and great workshops so if you can make it you should come. 8 Libertarian presidential candidates will be there and I will also be attending with my wife. It should be a lot of fun and I encourage everyone to make a concerted effort to try to attend.

For those of you who can't come for financial reasons such as students there are sponsorships available to cover the cost of the convention. If you are interested in finding out more please email me at Sean.Colon@gmail.com.
